Monferrato is a territory of small villages, hills covered with vineyards, small woods and plowed fields. According to the rhythm of the seasons the landscape changes and with it the colors, the smells, the activities preserving the peasant spirit rooted in this land and its genes.
Every season is beautiful in Monferrato, but to explore these hills we believe that the best times are autumn and late spring, two seasons with wonderful colors and a climate favorable for hiking, walking and cycling.
By foot
Many routes of different difficulties and lengths can satisfy trekking and walking lovers. Through dirt roads, alleys of tuff villages and panoramic routes you can enjoy peace and tranquility, finding your own rhythm and discovering new views.

Il percorso UNESCO
The Sacro Monte di Crea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2003, is a unique journey through art, religion and nature. It starts from the Sanctuary and then climbs following the stages of the path in the woods to the top of the mountain, where the Chapel of Paradise is located. At each stage a small chapel illustrates an important moment in the life of Mary and Jesus and along the path surrounded by nature you can admire breathtaking views.
Truffle and trifulau
To learn about one of the most fascinating traditions of Monferrato, an activity that binds the territory, man and dog, Monfernòt in collaboration with the Association Tartufai della Valle Ghenza organizes special excursions in autumn to immerse yourself in the woods and in the world of trifulau, truffle hunters.

The smartest way to get around is a symbol of freedom and lightness. We know that the climbs of our hills can be tiring but fortunately there are electric bicycles, to allow everyone to enjoy the wonderful landscapes of Monferrato on two wheels.
